Senior Piping Design Engineer

Description

• Produce and check complex piping plans and layouts, piping isometrics sketches and electronic 3D models for equipment in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications and procedures.
• Coordination of design with other design disciplines and vendors.
• Coordination with other PM Group offices to understand the scope of work, deliverables, time lines, hours etc.
• Participate Model Design Coordination Meeting.
• Conduct design reviews - both formal (with Client) and informal (internal)
• Review Stress Analysis report and update the piping 3D Design.
• Lead a team of Designers in Bangalore for scope of work assigned from Project office and report back to Project office lead on work progress.
• Clash checking for pipe clashes.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to Europe for 1 to 3 month on selected projects.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ piping design experience with 3 to 5 years as Lead Piping Design Engineer
• Sector experience- Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical
• Isometric generation from Process P&ID's.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in the use of Intergraph’s SP3D (S3D)/CADWorx / Plant 3D
• Experience on International projects working remotely from India with an EPC company.
• Experience to manage a team of designers working on an area scope. Planning, monitoring and checking quality for the work done by designers.
