Design civil/structural systems, structures and components.
Assist with project planning and technical quotes for systems, structures and components.
Prepare and present project documents including calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
Ensure compliance with safety standards related to civil/structural systems, structures and components.
Provide technical support to the Civil, Mining and FKC – Lake Shore Divisions.
Travel to site, as needed.
Assist in responding to site-based requests for information, including analysis and recommendations.
Assist with modifications to existing equipment, systems, structures and components.

Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
A minimum of 3 - 10 years of work experience, preferably in a field related to underground construction and/or mining.
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software is desired.
Advanced computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or able to register as a licensed P.E. within 2 years.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software would be an asset.
Geotechnical engineering and/or support of excavation (SOE) design experience is desirable.
Proficient in preparation of structural calculations utilizing structural analysis software and hand calculations.
Experience in design of reinforced concrete structures and steel structures.
Demonstrated logical problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analytical skills.
