❖ Conduct pre-mission planning including permitting, site assessment, operational path design, and risk mitigation.
❖ Collaborate with robotics management and technical staff to develop, refine, and enforce field Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
❖ Maintain compliance with federal, local, and client specific regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
❖ Maintain detailed operation logs, mission reports, and regulatory documentation.
❖ Participate in technology evaluations, supporting testing and deployment of new robot systems, payloads, and data workflows.
❖ Provide technical mentorship and hands-on training to junior remote operators, robotics technicians, and support staff.
❖ Operate advanced robotic platforms (e.g., Flyability, Voliro, Skydio, Deeptrekker) for confined space inspections, structural assessments, and data collection (visual, LiDAR, thermal, NDE, Sonar, etc.).
❖ Support field debriefs and operational feedback loops to continuously improve safety, data quality, and mission efficiency.
❖ Lead and assist in equipment readiness checks, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure operational continuity.
❖ Experience with confined space UAVs (e.g., Flyability) is highly preferred.
❖ Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license is required.
❖ Strong knowledge of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and inspection-grade data acquisition techniques.
❖ Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
❖ Multi-disciplinary experience or technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering concepts.
❖ FAA Part 107 License is required.
❖ 5+ years related work experience is preferred.
❖ Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead field crews, especially in high-stakes or sensitive missions.
❖ The ability to travel to project sites is needed.
❖ Proven experience as a Drone Pilot, preferably in an engineering, construction, or OGI environment.
❖ Stay current with industry's best practices and robotics technology advancements.
❖ OSHA 10 or 30 Hour and Confined Space Training is preferred.
