

Provides water services and wastewater treatment to homes, businesses, and industries across Ireland.
The Asset Operations function is the cornerstone of service delivery, responsible for strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for both water and wastewater operations nationwide. It manages the majority of operational expenditure while protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards.
The role covers operation and maintenance of treatment plants and the water‑wastewater network across a defined geographic area. It includes routine maintenance, asset inspections, responding to SCADA alerts, supporting customers, and providing out‑of‑hours and standby cover as needed.
Candidates must have at least secondary‑level education or equivalent experience, a full clean Irish Category B driving licence and the ability to work safely in hazardous environments. Strong IT skills, good literacy, problem‑solving ability and experience in water/wastewater systems or utilities are required, with relevant certifications considered an advantage.
Uisce Éireann is establishing a national panel for current and future vacancies, with applications accepted for the next 12 months. Successful applicants will be placed on a salary band starting at €36,640, and must reside within a reasonable distance of their assigned work area to meet out‑of‑hours requirements.
