Your day will involve overseeing service delivery, guiding senior managers, managing vendor performance, driving continuous‑improvement initiatives, ensuring KPI and SLA compliance, nurturing client relationships, handling financial operations, and championing diversity, inclusion and safety.

• Oversee service delivery across 10+ million sq ft of retail facilities, ensuring contract compliance and performance standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop geographically dispersed management teams, driving succession planning and teamwork.
• Manage third‑party vendor relationships and performance to meet quality and contractual obligations.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives, including cost‑saving programs, benchmarking, and innovation leveraging JLL’s platform.
• Ensure KPI and SLA achievement while maintaining governance, compliance, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high‑quality service.
• Direct financial operations such as budgeting, monthly reporting, invoice approvals, and contract negotiations.
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and workplace safety in alignment with JLL’s core values.

Requirements

The IFM Retail Director role offers full remote flexibility with up to 30 % strategic travel and a preference for candidates based in the Midwest to align with our primary portfolio concentration. In this position you will lead the transformation of North America’s largest retail facilities portfolio—over 10 million sq ft across more than 1,800 sites—while building and inspiring a geographically diverse team of facilities and engineering professionals.

We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher and at least ten years of experience managing retail facilities, including proven managerial experience of a team of senior facilities managers. Strong background in retail banking or technology environments, outstanding client‑relationship and strategic‑execution skills, and solid knowledge of commercial leases, building systems, CMMS and financial budgeting are required.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with 10+ years of retail facilities management experience.
• Proven leadership of senior facilities managers and experience with high‑touch retail or tech environments.
• Strong client‑relationship management, strategic thinking, and excellent communication/presentation skills.
• Knowledge of commercial leases, contract documents, building systems, CMMS, and Microsoft Office.
• Superior financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

The position follows a Monday‑Friday day shift with on‑call responsibilities after hours, offering a salary of $150,000 + depending on experience and location.
