Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

Description

• Engage and audit supply chain partners to ensure alignment with Kier's Heath and Safety standards.
• Manage HS&W resources and contribute to strategic safety planning.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with Kier standards.
• Drive the Kier Behavioural Safety Programme and promote Safe Systems of Work.
• Develop and review Construction Phase Plans and Environmental Management Plans.
• Guide and support on-site SHE advisors and the wider delivery team.
• Compile and present reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Lead and manage Heath Safety and Wellbeing across the project lifecycle, from early planning to completion.

Requirements

• CSCS Card
• In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and their practical application.
• Professional membership: Minimum Tech IOSH (GradIOSH or CMIOSH desirable).
• Strong understanding of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive behavioural safety initiatives and embed safety culture.
• Proven track record managing Health & Safety in large-scale construction or engineering environments.
• NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
• Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver training and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
