- To provide coordination, guidance and direction to the operations team to ensure that the work being performed enables successful and efficient production of component with focus on technical deliverables and cost and schedule performance.
- Coordinate, mediate and resolve specific production work sequence conflicts related to constraints that effect performance to cost and schedule.
- Monitor and validate lessons learned processes and initiatives to maintain and promote continuous improvement.
- At times, engage with the customer to provide updates on progress and/or request input needed for completion of the work.
- Ensure the work in progress is in accordance with the published schedule sequence.
- Conduct and attend meetings as required.
- Create project schedule and production work sequences aligned with customer requirements and track progress against the sequence.
- Maintain daily communication and interaction with the Project Manager, Operations Manager and other Project Coordinators & stakeholders to report status, concerns and issues and provide support with variance analysis and associated corrective action plans.
- Maintain a daily presence of the specific work in progress to monitor safety, housekeeping and work progress and staff performance.

- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

- 18 years or older at time of application.
- Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be eligible for employment with Austal USA:
- Bachelor's Degree required in an engineering related field
- 4 years related experience accepted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree. Related experience is defined as having experience with tracking performance metrics for projects using Excel, data analysis, project scheduling, government contracts, project estimating.
- Basic working knowledge of budgeting and scheduling tools and associated schedule management practices.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.
- No felony convictions of theft/deception or violent crimes within seven years from disposition date.
- Willing to submit to a background check.
- No felony convictions of drug crimes within three years from disposition date.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years' related experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
- Ability to validate, interpret and understand basic task scheduling or work sequencing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
- Willing to submit to a drug screen.
