Reporting to the Director of Financial Accounting, the Financial Accounting Analyst will support a wide range of accounting and financial operations. This role is instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and supporting both internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and provide support where needed for Accounts Receivable and explosives invoicing
  • Enter and analyze accounts payable invoices.
  • Provide backup support to various accounting departments and functions including inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, monthly close process, and ERP system support.
  • Prepare assigned aspects of Monthly Financials
  • Assist with maintaining up-to-date insurance records and serve as backup for renewals.
  • Identify and implement improvements for accounts payable processes.
  • Act as a liaison for external accountants and assist with income tax filings and year end audit preparation.
  • Review vendor statements for accuracy.
  • Support ongoing and ad hoc audits.
  • Coordinate various accounting and finance departments projects.

The ideal candidate will possess broad experience in financial accounting, sales and property tax compliance, fixed asset and inventory accounting, and ERP system usage. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role acts as a primary resource in the Accounts Payable department and provides cross-functional support across several areas, including lease accounting, insurance, business licensing, AR, and audit support.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
  • Active or Inactive CPA Preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
