Develop and manage construction project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
Role Overview: As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing program schedules for construction projects, ensuring they align with project requirements and timelines. This role involves analyzing project drawings, conducting schedule quality assurance, and performing critical path and earned value analysis. The ideal candidate will play a key part in ensuring project efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery. -Serve as a liaison between project teams, department leadership, and the Program & Project Controls department. -Review and interpret detailed construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, etc.) to understand the project scope. -Conduct bi-monthly updates of program/master schedules and ensure data integrity by utilizing standard codes, layouts, and reports. -Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for various construction projects. -Conduct schedule Time Impact Analysis for change orders and negotiate schedule impacts with contractors and project managers. -Conduct reviews of contractors' baseline schedule submissions, ensuring all work scope is properly identified, logically sequenced, and includes detailed review comments. -Lead schedule-related communications during weekly meetings with contractors, ensuring progress and schedule concerns are addressed. -Perform QA/QC checks on contractor schedule submittals, analyzing critical paths, cost loading, and resource allocation for schedule compliance. -Prepare necessary reports and documentation as directed by management. -Walk construction sites to review contractors' weekly/monthly schedule progress and provide progress reports to the project team and management.
-In-depth understanding of cost engineering, scheduling theories, and schedule forensics. -Superior organizational and planning abilities. -Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with project teams and staff. -Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in any field with an additional 2 years of construction scheduling experience. -At least 5 years of full-time paid professional experience in construction scheduling, particularly with an Owner or General Contractor. Experience in educational facilities or public works projects is highly preferred. -Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and the MS Office Suite. -A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from a recognized college or university. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
