Production Control Coordinator

Description

The coordinator ensures timely material flow within the production environment, adhering to the Terex Production System and Materials Management System. They maintain and facilitate the order and delivery of parts, components, and supplies, acting as a communication and logistics link among planning, inventory, engineering, and purchasing while managing production schedules and variances.

• Participate in DMS and Materials Tier meetings.
• Schedule and coordinate reschedules, ECO changes, conversions, and options.
• Prepare reports on production and supply variances, downtime, and quality issues.
• Establish and maintain line‑side inventory, set inventory levels, and ensure racking integrity.
• Create and manage production kanbans, carts, and racks for the assigned value stream.
• Calculate and sustain minimal SWIP levels to support production kanban.
• Dispatch and maintain PFEP pick lists.
• Initiate project requests for new or replacement carts/racks to support SWIP levels.
• Identify and communicate schedule variances to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Serve as primary liaison among planning, inventory, engineering, and purchasing.
• Resolve daily material issues and order necessary parts, components, and supplies.
• Assist Kanban Coordinators, Buyers, and Planners in converting plans into actionable tasks.
• Coordinate daily workflow to ensure continuous material flow to production lines.
• Review master production schedules and facilitate material flow across departments.
• Communicate daily priorities and coordinate vendor materials as needed.
• Track variances and Kaizen actions focusing on safety, delivery, quality, and cost.
• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with HR and safety policies.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external customers.

Requirements

The position requires 10‑hour shifts with the ability to lift 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and navigate tripping hazards. Compensation starts at $24‑$28 per hour, based on education, experience, certifications, and other factors.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Working knowledge of ERP, production planning, MRP, Kanban, lean manufacturing, and inventory control.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (macros) and PowerPoint.
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with lean or process improvement exposure.
• High school diploma or GED; college or technical education a plus.
• Leadership experience (1+ year) and experience with ECO or new product implementation preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lb, stand for long periods, and work 10‑hour shifts.
