Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order

Identify machinery defects or malfunctions and complete repair
Keep shop area neat and clean
Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defects
Update the equipment locator list and update equipment and tool inventory
Maintain proper record keeping
Report any safety issues immediately to management
Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on all equipment troubleshooting and/or determine if repairs will be done in the field, Wanzek’s shop, a dealership or other method
Maintain and accountable for all shop tools and manuals be returned to the proper place and in the same condition as received
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards

Show expertise in all basic and complex machines, including crane safety (anti two blocks, rigging, crane maintenance daily log book/annual inspection, etc.); investigate or question others to ensure logs and two blocks are correct, etc.

One-year certificate from college or technical school in Diesel or Automotive Technology and two or more years relevant experience.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
One or more of the following certifications: Electrical diagnostics and repair cert, A/C system diagnostics and repair cert, Welding Certification, OEM certification (JD Tech, CAT Tech, Case IH Tech, Komatsu Tech, Ford, Kenworth, Liebherr)
Ability to track and maintain records of completed work and update status of open work orders.
High level of efficiency. 80% of efficiency or higher.
Ability to Diagnose complex problems in systems including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical
Ability to Supervise and coordinate the work of a 3rd party mechanic.
Qualified to drive the 1-ton rig on site and from project to project
