The Community Assistant will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of Bridges at Chapel Hill, a stabilized garden‑style community of 144 units in Carrboro, NC. Responsibilities include completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly close‑out reports, processing invoices, collecting rent and fees, handling bank deposits, and using Yardi/OneSite to record and track all financial activity.
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lb independently (or 50 lb with assistance). Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions, and occasional travel to other properties, training sessions, or meetings may be necessary. Flexible scheduling is expected, including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The position offers an hourly wage of $21.00–$23.00, with final pay determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. Employees may be eligible for quarterly or annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, with onsite team members also eligible for weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonuses.
