Ability to track individual project tasks and financial management of individual and overall project tasks.
5+ years of progressive transportation development experience.
Proficiency with ArcGIS, Microsoft Office (including MS Project) is required. Experience with MicroStation is helpful.
AICP or PE Certification preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
Experience identifying grant opportunities and developing grant applications preferred, but not required.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail along with overall quality control and management.
Knowledge and experience with NEPA (and NC equivalent), Section 4F, Section 6F, Section 106, and Section 404 is a plus.
Conscientious of project schedules (including Microsoft Project) and deadlines involving deliverables (including interim deadlines).
Strong teamwork and project organization skills working on projects and with staff.
Willingness to participate in business development efforts.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
