- Develop and manage client relationships (internally and externally).
- Aftercare support on completed projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare Commissioning Specifications and design and construction phase Commissioning Plans.
- Lead / support commissioning to meet the requirements of BREEAM certifications.
- Responsible for the Commissioning process for HVAC, Electrical and Building Envelope systems with a particular focus on the commissioning requirements to support the LEED Certification of multiple LEED projects across the various LEED rating systems.
- Review submittals, start-up sheets, RFIs and change orders for commissioned equipment and systems.
- Support Design Teams with technical aspects of NZEB, Low/Net Zero Carbon/Energy Building design & commissioning strategies
- Support the growth of our team and assist with preparing proposals for new and existing clients.
- Facilitate commissioning meetings.
- Prepare Final Reports and Systems Manuals to provide a comprehensive project summary to the Owner.
- Responsible for reviewing Owner Project Requirements (OPR’s) and Basis of Design (BOD) documents to ensure they meet the intended requirements, and verifying that the program’s goals are properly included in the design documents.
- Perform field visits to observe installation of commissioned systems and prepare field reports.
- Work with design, construction and commissioning teams to foster an understanding of current and proposed Sustainability related legislation.
- Prepare Functional Performance Test procedures, review TAB process and final TAB reports.

- Qualification (Level 8) in Architecture /Engineering/ Environmental/ Sustainability or related subject
- Qualifications in the following desirable; LEED GA or AP BD&C / ID+C and/or BREEAM AP and/or WELL AP
- Commissioning process experience on at least 5 building projects, preferably in the industrial sector. The experience should extend from early design phase through into occupancy
- Clear and confident communication skills
- A background in facility operation and maintenance would be advantageous.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer status (or working to achieve) preferable
- Ability to travel to work-sites as needed or required
- Have earned (or in process of earning) one of the following certifications: ASHRAE’s Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP); ACG’s Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA); or BCA’s Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
- 5+ years’ experience as a commissioning/energy systems consultant or related position
- Project engineering / management skills, including decision making, problem solving, planning and organization, leadership and team building skills
