Coordinating Repairs and Maintenance where applicable to ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with relevant standards and maintenance procedures.
Supporting the Transport Manager in the daily management of dispatch and efficient allocation and management of trucks to achieve a delivered-on time and in full target.
Monitor Loading and unloading times to optimise fleet efficiency, target loads per day and ensure fatigue management legislation is complied with.
Managing truck utilisation in conjunction with Regional Logistics Manager, Plants and Quarry Managers to effectively maximise the utilisation of the fleet to reduce costs whilst maintaining optimum service levels to the customer.
Ensuring that the Operational Improvement Program is implemented, maintained, monitored and improved.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policy (e.g. Workplace Health and Safety Act)
Actively assisting in achieving progressive cost reductions as per annual agreed targets
Maintaining a high standard of community relationships within the local community by assisting with any community relations programs that may be implemented.
