The senior role would include working with, mentoring and assisting with the growth of our existing team.

  • Provide assistance to other Engineering design staff as required.
  • Review all design documentation prepared and ensure that it is correct, suitable for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation and complies with all the requirements of the Quality System Management System (QMS).
  • Investigate, document and prepare applications for statutory approvals.
  • Research, prepare and implement effective design procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies and current best practice in Civil Engineering Design.
  • Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure productivity targets for staff are monitored and any issues addressed.
  • Review project plans to determine the design feasibilities and constraints.
  • The preparation of civil engineering designs and investigations across a broad range of infrastructure projects, consisting mainly of roads, sewerage, water supply and stormwater drainage for both residential subdivisions and council infrastructure projects.
  • Consider health, safety and environmental requirements when developing civil designs.
  • Undertake inspections of construction works to confirm compliance with design documentation.
  • Participate and contribute to team-based activities that may include: Project Planning, support and quality improvement projects
  • Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports on a range of civil design projects.
  • Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements.
  • Monitor project plans to ensure objectives are being satisfied and provide timely advice to the Manager on any anticipated delays affecting project commitments.
  • Analyze design issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Promote the image of the Company and the Engineering Department as being efficient, effective and client focused.
  • Use latest software and technologies to develop effective designs.
  • Perform design changes and improvements according to changing project demands.
  • Undertake the detail design, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects.
  • Stay abreast with latest developments within the civil design fields.
  • Determine construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs.
  • Effectively liaise with Public Utilities and other Authorities and staff regarding engineering matters.
  • Develop cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous responses to all enquiries and correspondence from Clients
  • Manage design projects within allotted timelines and budgets.
  • Undertake post design reviews and recommend areas of improvement.
  • Maintain accurate design files for reference purposes.

We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced Engineers to join our team with a focus on providing an exceptional standard of service, producing high-quality outputs and fostering strong client relationships.

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Australia)
  • Experience using: Civil Site Designs, DRAINS, EPANET or similar design software
  • Proven leadership capability and strong communication skills
  • Are a Chartered Member (CPEng) of Engineers Australia or RPEQ (Senior Civil Engineer position)
  • Experience dealing with Council and Government projects
  • Work effectively and harmoniously as part of the engineering team.
  • A current drivers licence
