The Contract Manager supports the project team on all contractual issues—including equipment and turnkey projects—throughout execution, ensuring early identification and favorable resolution of commercial risks, claims, change orders, and vendor or insurance recoveries for GE Vernova.
Responsibilities include conducting risk mitigation, developing claims settlement agreements, managing contract change orders in line with GE entitlement, pursuing extensions and other EPC claims, negotiating insurance recoveries, and driving supplier recovery together with sourcing. The role also requires maintaining accurate databases, performing pre‑award risk analysis, negotiating terms with major subcontractors, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage, and keeping comprehensive contract documentation and backup records.
The Contract Manager works closely with Project Managers to deliver timely contractual notifications, draft change orders, letters and customer communications, provide analysis on commercial issues, and manage the handoff from sales to project execution, including contract risk reviews and securing payment securities via the Electronic Order Release system. Site visits are performed to lead contract analysis and present mitigation strategies to customers.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, legal, or management, possess at least five years of claims and construction contract experience, and have strong English, presentation, and negotiation skills. The position requires residence in the Central or Eastern Time Zones, flexibility to work EST hours, and the ability to travel to U.S. and Latin America sites while collaborating remotely with cross‑functional teams.
