The role focuses on leading the industrialization of new suppliers and products, ensuring smooth transitions from development to volume production while acting as the primary company representative at supplier sites. - Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply‑chain teams to align supplier readiness with specifications, cost targets, and timelines.
- Monitor and control material inventory at suppliers to support ramp‑up schedules and reduce shortages.
- Analyze supplier capabilities, lead times, design‑for‑manufacturing support, and risks, developing mitigation strategies.
- Support and optimize logistics for new suppliers and products, including transportation planning and customs.
- Define and track KPIs such as supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality metrics, and ramp‑up success.
- Partner with leadership and cross‑functional teams to align supplier industrialization with business objectives and forecasts.
Requirements
This position requires on‑site work five days a week, with up to 50% travel, including international trips, and does not offer hybrid or remote options. Candidates should have strong cross‑functional leadership and communication abilities to manage competing priorities and risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (master’s preferred) with experience in electrical power products.
- 8+ years of combined engineering, program management, and supply‑chain experience managing multiple complex projects.
- Proven track record in new‑technology organizations, NPI processes, and startup environments, especially developing supplier capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and projects.
- Exceptional communication skills—visual, verbal, and written.
- Experience with engineering teams focused on electrical systems, power electronics, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle competing priorities, risks, and program changes; willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.
