Participate in key negotiations with suppliers.
For smaller projects, where no Procurement Lead is dedicated, mentor Expeditors as required.
Interface with the client or regulatory bodies during the manufacturing process as applicable.
Process Design Changes and Issue Change Orders.
Conduct PO closeout activity and Vendor performance.
Conduct Supplier Kick-off and Contract Review meetings.
Coordinate and Interface with Key PO stakeholders including: Engineering, Project Manager, Project Controls, Finance, Procurement QA, Document Control and Logistics.
Provide Monthly project forecasts against Purchase Orders.
Provide monthly accruals to Project Controls.
Administer Complex Procurement packages, "Nuclear Island".
The OA may be required to Mentor junior purchasing staff.
Review and Approve invoices, milestone payments.
Handle any materials management claims (Overage, Shortage, Damage).
Handle Warranty claims with suppliers on behalf of the project.
Coordinate with Logistics team to move materials to site.
Handle Returns and Rework as applicable.
The OA must be able to make decisions in respect to the contract or manufacturing issues that arise through-out the execution of the contract/purchase order.

Experience in Quality program standards and processes related to supply chain (All levels).
Knowledge of Complex PO structure, material demand, contractual engineering deliverables, contract terms and conditions, etc.
Experience in vendor performance management.
Knowledge in long lead, complex manufacturing with experience at supplier facilities.
Travel to supplier and project sites is mandatory.
Experience in supplier negotiations.
Post-Secondary Degree.
Minimum 10 years' experience in expediting complex Procurement packages, with a preference to similar industries (Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Defence).
SCMP Designation an asset.
Knowledge of the financial system, invoicing/milestone payments over long term contracts.
