The position is responsible for maintaining superior quality service and cleanliness while upholding the community’s mission, philosophy, values, and the company’s hospitality promises.
- Develop and maintain an upscale culinary services program to ensure a positive resident experience.
- Supervise front‑of‑house culinary staff, handling hiring, scheduling, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist the Culinary Director in meeting or exceeding budgetary and financial targets.
- Recruit and retain professional, trained, and properly uniformed staff.
- Conduct periodic resident visits to evaluate food quality, temperature, and presentation, and adjust operations accordingly.
- Foster a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive revenue and occupancy.

The Bayshore on HHI is seeking a hospitality‑focused Assistant Director of Culinary Services. In partnership with the Culinary Director, this role provides full‑scope, hands‑on management of the community’s culinary services and focuses on enhancing the resident dining experience.
The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree (culinary arts preferred), has completed a recognized food safety course, and brings at least three years of experience in hospitality or food service management. Experience in senior living communities is a plus.

- Hold an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in culinary arts.
- Complete a recognized food safety course.
- Possess at least three years’ experience in hotel, restaurant, club, or similar hospitality settings.
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience managing food service administration and systems.
- Senior living community experience is preferred.
