Ensure a safe work environment for self and others and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Test equipment, ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements under supervision.
Troubleshoot and repair warranty and non-warranty problems.
Troubleshoot and repair various problems that could occur during course of test such as warranty and non-warranty problems; requires Tester to think critically to solve problems with the assistance of an Electrical Tester II or Engineer.
Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; will interface heavily with customers on witness tests under the supervision and guidance of an Electrical Tester II.
Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise.
Record data and write reports, process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability.
Perform electrical testing or service work (i.e. physical and mental activities) on equipment ranging from 5VDC (logic devices, zone interlocking signals, etc.) up to 30KVAC three phase power.
Continuously improve work environment processes; may require Tester to suggest ways to develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inadequate.
Follow procedures with accuracy, efficiently and with strict attention to details.
Build positive relationships that support job objectives and a team environment.
Assist Design and Application Engineers with special test projects.

An associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field from an accredited institution.
