Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications throughout all phases of interior design work, as required.
Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents.
Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, and conducting punch list. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work.
Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.
Actively participate and promote design quality.
Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost and quality constraints.
Assist in the development of the design including planning and three-dimensional studies.
Participate in client meetings with Senior Interior Designer to gain client interaction and presentation experience.
With limited direction, Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with the execution of the project goals throughout all phases (Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration).
Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces to include drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern designs, elevations, details, etc.
Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.

Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Understand proper application of materials.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
