The electrician reports to a superintendent and is responsible for installing, altering, adding, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial construction projects. Work is performed according to company policies, project plans, and industry standards.
Key duties include coordinating with other trades, supervising helpers or apprentices, and ensuring all installations follow Ace Electric’s safety program and project specifications. The electrician must read and interpret construction drawings, manage tools and materials, and complete required documentation.
Ace Electric is hiring experienced electricians to join its workforce in Plain City, Ohio. Candidates should reside in the Columbus area and be prepared to commute daily to various job sites.
Applicants must have extensive commercial or industrial electrical construction experience, including proficiency with conduit, wiring, and panel installations. The role also requires basic math abilities, reliable transportation, effective communication, and the successful completion of background, reference, drug screening, and driver’s‑license checks.
A valid state driver’s license, relevant federal, state and local certifications, and a high school diploma or GED are required. Preferred candidates have at least six years of relevant experience and an OSHA 10 construction certification.
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve heights up to 90 feet, confined spaces, and the use of ladders, scaffolds, and aerial platforms. Employees must be able to lift and carry tools and materials, operate power tools and equipment, and stand or move for prolonged periods.
