Job Purpose:As a Leasing Consultant, you are the heart of the community, responsible for marketing apartments to prospective residents, supporting current residents, and managing lease renewals. Your role directly impacts occupancy and community success. Training is provided in Fair Housing, sales techniques, and objection handling.
Conduct applications, including credit, income, and background checks.
Follow up with prospects and residents to drive renewals and community engagement.
Develop professionally in a fast-paced, competitive student housing market.
Maintain lease files, complete documentation, and coordinate move-ins.
Assist with roommate matching, work orders, and other operational tasks as needed.
Deliver outstanding service to prospects, residents, and visitors.
Conduct outside marketing initiatives and promote the community within the student housing market.
Lease apartments in line with occupancy goals and marketing campaigns.
Enter and track data in Entrata (or similar property management software).
Familiarity with Entrata or similar property management software is a plus.
Office and outdoor work environments, occasional exposure to changing weather.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to walk, stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and interact with residents regularly.
Must be able to work weekends or overtime as required.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in leasing, marketing, sales, or customer service preferred.
1–3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Positive attitude, patience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
