- Prepare detailed tool, jig, die, and fixture drawings according to assignment.
- Support tool build, tryout, and troubleshooting activities on the shop floor.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and documentation using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, CATIA).
- Keep records of all tools, jigs, dies, and fixture changes using current engineering documentation practices.
- Analyze part prints and specifications to determine the most effective tooling concepts and layouts.
- Drive continuous improvement in tool design for manufacturability, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design or redesign tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures to gain better efficiencies.
- Maintain and organize the drawing files for tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures in a filing cabinet for reference.
