Complete projects within client specifications, budgets and schedules
Serve as Civil Engineer and Project Manager in the development of design schematics, construction plans, specifications and estimates
Prepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and schedule
Research jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings
Identifies Talent: Actively maintaining awareness of internal and external talent, current abilities, and hiring needs.
Support project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects
Coordinate with EITs, designers and drafters
Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activities
Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration
Consistently deliver proactive communication with clients. When client issues arise, address or expeditiously escalate to discipline lead
Actively engages and participates in the training, coaching, and mentoring of junior staff.
Work directly with clients and directing staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
Coordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work
Coordinate online meetings, preparation of meeting agendas, and distribution of meeting
Executes Strategy: Ensuring that people remain focused on accomplishing strategic goals by thoughtfully planning tasks and overcoming obstacles.
Sharing Information: Conveying up-to date information in the most efficient and useful manner to the appropriate stakeholders.
Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Ensures proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.
Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions, effectively implement and document for internal and external stakeholders
Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Leads successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client).
Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.
Develop relationships with clients that allows for ease in communications and problem-solving
Fosters a Learning Culture: Creating an inspiring and engaging atmosphere where people feel motivated to grow, experiment, and learn new skills.
Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients and may be responsible for a stated portion of office sales goal. Assists and/or leads team in pursuit of new work (repeat work, SOQ and Proposals). Develops and/or executes project Win strategy.

BS Degree in Civil Engineering

The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
Must be a licensed PE in Texas with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience
Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D are all a plus
Ability to train staff and review work for quality assurance
Solid leadership and management skills, self-motivated, and possess a strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems
Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.
Critical Thinking: Analyzing problems and solutions by evaluating the quality of the information available from different sources and avoiding decision-making bias.
