Sr. Bridge Cadd Technician

Be responsible for bridge models and generating the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope

Execute all Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project

• Execute all Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project
• Be responsible for bridge models and generating the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope
• Accurately model BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls and miscellaneous structures using computeraided design software
• Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, castinplace concrete, steel plate girder, segmental and cablestayed, and box culvert
• Create and maintain 3D bridge models, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.

• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail is highly desirable
• Experience working with BrIM, OBM or other 3D CAD software
• Experience and knowledge of TxDOT CAD Standards, knowledge and experience of other DOT Standards is a plus.
• Have an advanced understanding of engineering documentation, plan presentation for the bridge design, and how it interacts with other discipline models
• Associates degree in Engineering Technology
• Experience in bridge structural drafting
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers
