- Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule
- Promote and utilize technology, engineering, and other factors that could affect the costs, safety, and sustainability impacts of surface or underground mining
- Surveys various boundaries, limits, and topography for mine planning and property management
- Conducts inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods
- Prepare phased short, medium, and long term mine plans for operations management
- Serve on subcommittees consisting of employees of other CRH companies and fulfill obligations for various projects aimed at improving standards across CRH
- Share and document knowledge that promotes the current and future success of the engineering department
- Use mine planning software for various engineering projects such as overburden stripping plans, reserve estimation, exploration projects, and Security and Exchange Commission documentation as well as other CRH requirements

- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
- Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Shelly Company employees
- Developed oral, verbal, and written communication skills and an ability to work with management and peers
- Ability to be a self-starter and able to operate under general guidelines
- Basic knowledge of computer and web-based applications (e.g., CAD, AggFlow, Microsoft Office Suite, Talpac and Haulsim, drone software, etc.). Strong word processing skills
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home regularly
- Ability to develop clear communicable plans using data driven information
- Ability to obtain Part 107 Drone License Certification
- Capability to present plans to wide array of audience
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Ability to receive and apply instruction from more senior members of the team
- Ability to learn under pressure and to complete tasks, with some guidance, accurately and on time
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information in a manner consistent with the Key Responsibilities
