The Trimble eBuilder Technician (Level 1 Specialist) will be responsible for supporting the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) with managing and troubleshooting Trimble eBuilder systems. Key responsibilities include assisting users with system functionality, ensuring accurate data import/export within the eBuilder platform, and creating detailed user guides and reports. The role also involves maintaining and updating system configurations, providing technical support to end-users, and collaborating to optimize workflow processes using the software. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Yonkers, NY.
The specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for Level 1 support, assisting internal and external stakeholders with daily technical issues, user access, workflow compliance, project setup, data integrity, and reporting. This role directly contributes to the efficiency of project delivery, construction documentation management, and digital workflow enhancements across the Engineering Department.
- Troubleshoot workflow inconsistencies, ensuring user permission compliance and folder structure accuracy.
- Provide virtual or in-person training to eBuilder end users and assist with updating training materials.
- Support project and program-level system modifications, including updating data fields, reports, dashboards, templates, and other system functionalities.
- Act as a point of contact between the TCAP main office and Engineering Solutions Document Control Administration.
- Maintain reporting fields related to project lifecycle status and milestones.
- Provide daily eBuilder administrative and technical support for TCAP end users.
- Prepare program and project-level reports and dashboards, supporting multiple internal review groups.
- Support Engineering Help Desk operations as a backup member of the eBuilder and Applications Support Team.
- Participate in the development and testing of new workflows, enhancements, and system features.
- Perform core administrative tasks including project setup, user provisioning, template and mail merge management, and document folder structure updates.
- Document user requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria for new process build-outs.
- Serve as Level 1 support for troubleshooting issues such as account unlocks, project access, workflow overrides, file uploads/downloads, and general platform assistance.
- Support internal and external users including tenants, design professionals, contractors, construction managers, and Engineering Department staff.
- Assist with transferring information from the TCAP tracker into eBuilder.

The eBuilder Technician (Level 1 Specialist) will support the Engineering Department’s Operations Division within the Engineering Records and Document Management (ERDM) Unit. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and standardization of engineering documents through the Agency’s eBuilder platform, specifically supporting the Tenant Construction and Alteration Process (TCAP) Program.
- Experience in collaborating within cross-functional teams and supporting end-users
- Proficiency in using and troubleshooting Trimble eBuilder software and related systems
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience supporting construction project management, document management, or financial reporting systems.
- Relevant certifications and prior experience with similar systems or in a technical support role is a plus
- Experience with data integration or workflow automation tools.
- Experience creating or maintaining Microsoft Power BI reports.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Content Management solutions such as OpenText or SharePoint.
- Understanding of project management concepts and workflows
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and user guide development
- Proficiency with general software and tools relevant to the role, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Administrator-level knowledge of eBuilder.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
- Technical expertise in system configurations, data management, and generating reports
- Hands-on experience with eBuilder or other construction management software (eBuilder experience highly preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
