Customer Solutions Technicians are field‑based professionals responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing CCTV, video doorbell, and intruder alarm systems to the required standards while delivering exceptional customer service. They manage their workloads to meet and exceed daily targets and customer expectations. ADT, a trusted name in security, protects over 210,000 UK properties and welcomes more than 2,000 new customers each month.
Technicians verify system functionality by testing panels, backup batteries, and warning sounders, and by ensuring correct activation of signalling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre. They replace detector batteries as needed, clean CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras, and liaise with the service bureau according to company procedures. All work details are accurately recorded on a Mobile Data Device following prescribed instructions and codes of practice.
Candidates must hold a full UK manual driver’s licence and be able to carry equipment, climb ladders, and work at height. Practical skills with hand and power tools, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities are required to exceed customer expectations, and familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and PCs is expected. Preferred qualifications include electrical experience and prior residential installation or service work.
