Description

The role involves planning, designing, building, and maintaining IT services, projects, portfolios, products, and processes, while creating and assigning detailed tasks to subordinates. It includes budget responsibility for a small project, sub‑project, or process component and operates under minimal supervision.

Key duties include performing, managing, and documenting IT service portfolio activities to support business partners, leading IT activities for service level agreements, and assisting in planning and prioritizing work. The role also involves creating product and service documentation, applying best practices to improve offerings, maintaining engagement with business and IT stakeholders, fostering a positive team environment by training less experienced staff, and staying current in technical and business knowledge.

Requirements

Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years of IT experience, or an equivalent education‑work combination. Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Excel data analysis, experience leading small IT projects or sub‑teams, strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with remote project teams.

Preferred qualifications include the ability to translate customer business needs into requirements, applying technical expertise to plan, design, build, or support products and processes, and mentoring team members. Additional expectations may involve managing budgets and relationships with outsourcing partners.
