What you would be doing
design review

Lead project meetings, interface with stakeholders, and provide technical guidance.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery, quality, and safety.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all MEP activities.
Prepare progress reports, schedules, and forecasts for senior management.
Review, approve, and monitor MEP design, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals in line with project requirements.
Coordinate with civil, structural, track, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP works.
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
Lead, plan, and manage the execution of all MEP works (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, low voltage, and specialized rail systems).
Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and railway-specific codes.

Strong knowledge of international standards (CSA,NFPA, IEC, BS, EN, ASHRAE, etc.) and railway-specific requirements.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective cross-discipline coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Minimum 7 years of proven experience in railway or metro/LRT projects.
Proficient in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms )preferred
10–15 years overall professional experience in MEP design, execution, and management.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Electrical engineering
Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale infrastructure MEP works.
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A prominent player in the construction industry, specializing in infrastructure, transport, and utilities.
Known for expertise in road construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation, playing a key role in shaping Canada's transport networks.
