What you would be doing

Conduct conventional and GPS field surveys.
Implementing quality assurance on all field returns and office deliverables.
Liaising with Project Managers and clients regarding project scope and enquiries.
Interpret field data to create accurate survey drawings and legal plans. This will include downloading and editing field data, interpreting field notes and sketches, processing conventional and GNSS data, and preparing drawing deliverables.
Interpret Architectural and Engineering drawings for layout and as-built survey purposes.
Work as part of a Field Crew, preparing accurate notes, sketches and field data.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Centre and Trimble Access is a strong asset.
Experience with RPAS systems including basic and advanced pilot license is a strong asset.
Valid (or in progress) Class 5 driver’s license.
Physically fit, able to work in wildlife populated areas, and willing to work in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours.
Ability to work independently to complete tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Knowledge of survey and boundary calculation, geodetic coordinate systems and map projections.
Experience with scan and point cloud data processing is a strong asset.
Two-year technical diploma in Geomatics and /or previous experience in a similar role.
Strong communication skills.
Basic understanding of the BC Land Titles system.
Adherence to corporate safety policies and reporting.
