Developing and maintaining strong networks and relationships with clients, partners, and consultants, and assisting in the development of other team members.
Undertaking technical advisory work on a short-term basis to support project implementation as needed.
Managing small projects/workstreams, or contributing to the management of larger projects, and successful delivery of projects overseas, with responsibility for ensuring programme and milestone delivery; financial forecasting and budget management; contractor engagement and technical and financial reporting in line with contract requirements.
Contributing to business development opportunities, including the successful development of both pursuits and full tenders as part of pursuit/bid teams.

Well organised and have a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written) and be comfortable working in a multinational, multicultural environment. Knowledge of other languages, particularly French or Arabic, would be an asset.
A ‘team-player’ able to build strong team relationships at all levels. You will also be proactive, self-motivated, demonstrate a high level of initiative and be able to thrive in a fast-moving programme and team environment.
A willingness to travel to other permanent offices of the business and project locations, including fragile and conflict-affected states, as required.
Analytical and have the ability to think logically and problem solve individually or as part of a team.
Previous demonstrable experience in managing, or supporting the management of, international development projects in similar positions/ technical areas (such as governance, public financial management, economic reform, conflict mitigation and stabilisation or security and justice sector development), preferably with an international development consultancy, in government or with an international NGO, is essential.
Entrepreneurial and motivated to identify new opportunities for GSJ.
Highly numerate with experience in forecasting, budget and financial management, and proficient in Excel.
