The role involves originating and executing both spot and longer‑term structured RNG transactions in North America and in global compliance and voluntary markets such as the UK, EU, and Canada. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize WM’s market position, maintain expertise on compliance regulations and RIN pricing, and leverage an established network of industry buyers to drive sales.

• Originate and execute spot and longer‑term structured RNG transactions in North American and global voluntary/compliance markets.

• Maintain thorough knowledge of compliance markets, governing bodies, and legislation affecting RIN and voluntary market pricing.
• Leverage an established network of industry buyers to successfully transact RNG sales.
• Assess applicability of federal tax legislation and other incentive programs and their impact on market pricing.
• Develop creative deal structures to drive growth in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Manage strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Use environmental attributes platforms to manage RNG chain‑of‑custody logistics.
• Maintain a comprehensive view of RNG pricing in voluntary markets.

Requirements

WMRE owns and operates a portfolio of renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities and related assets across North America. The company plans to produce up to 30 billion cubic feet of RNG annually and is actively monetizing production through various commercial activities. To support this growth, WMRE seeks a Senior Renewable Natural Gas Originator who is a motivated self‑starter with deep knowledge of the North American RNG voluntary market and renewable credit markets.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or a related field and have at least five years of energy origination experience. Required skills include a proven track record in RNG sales, comprehensive knowledge of North American and select global RNG markets, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

The position combines office work with field and plant exposure, requiring routine use of standard office equipment and occasional travel that may necessitate a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative. Physical demands align with a mixed office‑field role, and reasonable accommodations are provided as needed.
