Post‑contract experience is required for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting cost estimation and controlling expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
Key duties include undertaking quantity take‑offs for MEP disciplines, preparing and validating Bills of Quantities, managing payment recommendations, and ensuring accurate cost reporting while applying knowledge of construction methods and tendering processes.
- Perform quantity take‑offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and HVAC works using applicable standards.
- Utilize Cost X, AutoCAD, and other software tools to summarize quantities and transfer data into BOQs or cost plans, conducting bulk checks.
- Draft and validate Bills of Quantities with thorough bulk verification.
- Support cost estimation by identifying material and labour rates and conducting rate analysis for standard work items.
- Prepare interim payment recommendations and maintain cost control documentation.
- Manage change control processes and contribute to cost reporting and cash‑flow forecasting.
- Value variations, track risk allowances, and assist in the preparation of final accounts.
