The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager by administering, directing, and coordinating the field supervisory personnel within the operations division, and reports directly to the Project Manager.
Key responsibilities include managing project documentation, aiding the creation and execution of standard operating procedures, assisting with project closeout, representing the company in owner negotiations, maintaining meeting records, reporting progress, and conducting basic estimating activities such as take‑offs and quote solicitation.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent degree combined with four years of Project Engineer experience; a degree specifically in construction management or civil engineering is preferred. The role requires at least two years of experience as a Project Engineer with construction management exposure, while four or more years of construction management experience is advantageous. Strong understanding of industry practices, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, are essential.
