Vertex is hiring a Project Based Vac Truck Operator in Crossfield, AB. The role involves operating vacuum trucks on various projects with a 20‑on/10‑off 12‑hour shift rotation (days/night). Candidates must have at least one year of oilfield vacuum‑truck experience and valid safety tickets. A Class 3 driver’s licence is acceptable, while a Class 1 licence is considered an asset.
- Hold a valid Class 3 driver’s licence (Class 1 considered a plus)
- Minimum 1 year operating a vacuum truck in oilfield settings
- Possess safety tickets: First Aid/CPR, CSTS20, TDG, H2S Alive, CSO & Cenovus with CLAWR
- Demonstrate strong communication, environmental compliance, and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and respond to after‑hour calls
