
Work across Technology teams, including Infrastructure, Application Development & Integration teams, to maintain IDM infrastructure, including connectors to other systems.
Develop reports and documentation related to data security issues.
Support training efforts on data security protocols and procedures.
Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and security tools.
Undertake monitoring, analysis and investigation activities in response to incidents.
Own the identity and data (cyber) security strategies and protocols, plan and execute projects in roadmap.
Consult on key implementation decisions, including choice of technologies, architectural design, configurations, and management processes.
Document IDM procedures and business rules.
Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Assess the company’s current data security measures, identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.
Experience with Microsoft Entra/Azure and HR systems, with understanding of PIM/PAM, and CyberArk experience.
Highly organised and analytical in problem-solving and understanding business needs.
Proficiency in security monitoring tools, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) software such as Defender/Splunk.
Tertiary degree in IT, Software Engineering, Networking, or Engineering (mandatory).
Considerable experience in information security management and operations in a large complex organisation.
Substantial hands-on experience with one or more major identity management solutions, such as Forefront IDM, and Novell/NetIQ Identity Manager.
One or more relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
Excellent communication skills, including internal and external stakeholder relationship management.
About the Role:We’re seeking an experienced Cyber Identity and Data Security Engineer to own the implementation and maintenance of robust identity and data management activities and frameworks, ensuring Aurizon’s cyber security risk and compliance objectives are met and control maturity aligns with the enterprise strategy. This role suits someone with relevant theoretical and subject matter application experience. Operating within a growing cyber function, you will work closely with other analysts and specialists, offering ample opportunity for growth and development across various identity, data, GRC, and platform services.
Demonstrated understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, server operating systems (both Windows and Unix), relational database systems, Active Directory, LDAP, messaging systems and MS Purview or other data security technology.
Knowledge of federation, B2B/B2C, conditional access controls, and how things are placed together.
Accustomed to working within a collaborative team environment, across both formal and functional boundaries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks.
