The Maintenance Clerk provides administrative support to the maintenance function. This role ensures parts are available cost‑effectively, maintains fleet records, and inputs data into the computerized fleet management system daily.
Key duties include acting as a point of contact with vendors, preparing truck purchase orders with appropriate general ledger codes, receiving and tagging parts, and dispensing them to mechanics in accordance with corporate and regional policies. The clerk reviews purchase orders with accounting, generates productivity and usage reports, follows all safety policies, and reconciles Dossier financial data to the Lawson general ledger. Supporting the Fleet Manager, the clerk analyzes fleet operation reports, identifies trends, resolves data errors, and may assist with parts organization and inventory.
Qualifications include related experience in a maintenance or trucking environment and at least one year of general office experience or equivalent training.
