New Home Technician, Construction

Description

As a New Home Technician, you will ensure the high standards and integrity of Mattamy by identifying, assessing, and repairing deficiencies in new homes before homeowner possession, supporting the mission of delivering the best homeowner experience.

• Fix deficiency items before certification and pre‑delivery inspections.
• Identify, assess, and repair construction deficiencies promptly.
• Prepare homes for city inspections and for subsequent trades, including cleaning and floor protection.
• Perform routine checks such as temporary heater inspections and debris removal.
• Ensure thorough clean‑up of interior and exterior areas throughout the build.
• Report safety issues to the Health & Safety Representative or supervisor.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to recycling programs.
• Provide good customer service to homeowners and trades.

Requirements

• Have experience in residential construction, renovations, or handy‑person repairs.
• Possess basic math skills for measuring and calculations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of multiple trades and strong organizational abilities.
• Read and write basic English; hold a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
