Communicate with the Safety Manager regarding safety matters
Assist in the preparation of meetings and presentations
Have all necessary documentation printed and scanned for crew members when needed Safety
Participate in the jobsite R4 Safety Committee as required
Order, track and ship supplies (i.e. stickers, posters, PPE, etc.) where needed
Maintain jobsite first aid and emergency response supplies
Create and update new hire safety binders and manuals
Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees
Assist in preparing employee Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol files
Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward The Company's Zero Injury principles
Coordinate and present safety training to support The Company and client requirements including planning, documentation, and presentation. This will include: New Hire Orientation and others dependent on experience and knowledge
Attend the weekly general safety meeting, weekly supervisor's safety meeting, and daily gang box meetings, as required
Administrative, Employee Information and Reporting: Assist with entering drug and alcohol testing results Scan employment documentation and log into system as needed
Maintain current safety info in Excel and pull safety records and stats when needed
Compliance: Work directly with the Site Safety Coordinator and the management team to develop and implement and maintain an effective site specific safety plan

Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulations or a general safety background is helpful
Excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task
Speak, and write clearly
Maintain a GPA of 2.9 or higher.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program studying Safety Management, Occupational Safety or Construction Management or a related field
Understand all environmental permitting regulations and measures to ensure compliance
Functional computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as required to manage the safety program
