Chair subcontractor kickoff meetings and review meetings, prepare and record meeting minutes.
Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence.
Identify and track deliverables.
Administer closeout of subcontracts in coordination with related stakeholders.
Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration, and other major matters.
Ensure subcontractors’ compliance with subcontract requirements.
Maintain records of change management/issue logs and provide summary reports.
Verify and negotiate variations, claims, and change issues with subcontractors.
Collaborate with subcontractors to determine subcontract rates and resource lists.
Work with engineering consultants to ensure their commercial deliverables meet project requirements.
Ensure subcontractors operate transparently regarding all rates and change requests.
Develop and update cost subcontract forecasts for input to Project Control.
Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to progress payment, payment coordination, schedule monitoring, claims administration, etc.
Identify and implement record-keeping practices to validate potential change orders.
Administer requirements of contractor warranties, insurance, and bonds.
Responsible for the performance and direction of all assigned subcontracts commercial and administrative work, maintaining continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or contractual difficulties.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Handle variation/rate changes and delay issues.

Experience working with SAP and SharePoint is desired.
Strong awareness of construction law and Construction Act.
Minimum 6 years of experience in contract administration and coordination; experience in rail transit projects or large-scale infrastructure (Hydro, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Power, etc.) is a strong asset.
Experience preparing and issuing subcontracting documentation is required.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to conduct business ethically and act with discretion when handling sensitive information.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction, Legal, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical training and experience.
