Structural EIT/Coordinator

Description

In this role you will provide structural engineering solutions for a variety of projects, work alongside multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and scientists, and help deliver safe, innovative built environments that benefit communities and industries nationwide.

• Perform structural design and analysis of building and civil structures.
• Prepare specifications and produce construction drawings.
• Model building elements using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Conduct site visits to inspect construction and review contractor submittals.
• Participate in conditional assessments of existing structures.
• Write technical memos and reports as needed.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, design charrettes, client workshops, and construction meetings.
• Manage multiple responsibilities to deliver timely, technically sound solutions.

Requirements

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer-in‑Training (EIT) for its Denver team, offering a collaborative setting where new graduates can grow their careers by learning from experienced engineers while contributing to projects from design through construction.

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (ABET accredited) with GPA ≥ 3.25.
• Possess an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate or be hired as Coordinator pending certification.
• Knowledge of concrete, steel, wood/timber, and masonry design per IBC and ASCE codes.
• Experience with structural analysis, finite‑element methods, and software such as RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE.
• Demonstrate strong written communication and presentation skills.
