  • Coordinate large project initial setup and teardown with regional IT resources.
  • Supervise or manage the job performance of business unit or region IT employees and/or consultants including exercising discretion in evaluating job performance and determining appropriate corrective action, analyze work flow, establish priorities and delegate tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Provide guidance to Business Unit management to determine future IT needs at the location, enterprise initiatives, budgets, forecasts, licensing and asset rotation to ensure profitability and alignment with Company goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for field IT operations staff.
  • Travel to offices, plants, and job sites may be frequent with extended daily and weekend hours required.
  • Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and procedures, and implements them at the direction of the CIO. Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas. Provides direction to senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations. Recognized as an influential leader.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for field IT operations to ensure budgets are met.
  • Participate with the CIO and direct reports to strategize, manage, integrate and coordinate with overall IT direction.
  • Assist with preparation of IT-related proposals by performing feasibility, economic and cost-benefit analysis of alternative solutions.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce company IT policies, standards and procedures to the field IT operations to ensure alignment.
  • Act as a representative of Field IT within the IT Management Team to promote communication and teamwork within the IT Department.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions analysis and related conversions and implementations to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide guidance on strategic IT planning, technical guidance and application support for Branch Business Managers to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, groups or service areas through personnel who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas.
  • Build an engaged, self supporting IT team within the operating group to ensure department productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain open communication with local IT staff and local business management to ensure effective problem resolution and establishment of priorities.

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience managing IT operations in a large, multi-site business environment.
  • Ability to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct on a daily basis.

  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and consistent follow through.
