Description

Operate forklift as required to support manufacturing
Load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments)
Count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil, and accessories
Represent the Company professionally in all daily interactions with customers, freight personnel and other employees
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and reporting any deficiencies found
Pull/transfer coils and sheets and complete appropriate packaging per the specifications of each order
Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
Report defective or substandard material, supplies or products
Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and supplies
Document product shipments by recording or verifying units shipped or received as required
Comply with all safety rules and regulations
Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory

Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy are required
Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
Tow motor experience preferred
Team oriented with effective communication skills preferred
Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required
Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
A high school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
