Maintain, repair, and upgrade building electrical systems and equipment.

Tasks

-Be part of the facilities management out-of-hours team, ensuring the successful delivery of all Property and Customer services within the full operational coverage (i.e. 7day/365/year). -Carry out electrical repairs and cleaning of electrical components and equipment and prepare records related to the work. -Ensure compliance with and endorsement of FM Contract requirements for security, including security clearance as required by the RCMP. -Operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment (including heating and cooling); -Maintain and operate physical plant equipment used in lighting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning of buildings. Conduct required CSA C282-2015 maintenance service of diesel generator sets. -Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries when required. -Assist with developing staff skills by training and coaching assigned staff. -Support the Company's Quality Policy Statement and actively participate in the achievement of Company and personal Quality objectives -Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. -Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. To meet BC Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, BCSA and Local Authorities codes, regulations and standards. -Comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures -Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans -Operate and adjust control systems and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies. -Maintain and test fire alarm systems, maintain primary and secondary distribution systems including high voltage; upgrade system and maintains direct digital control system. -Assist with developing goals and priorities assigning tasks and projects ensuring accuracy and completion. -Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations. -Respond to electrical and electronic emergency calls. -Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records, using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) -Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. -Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment and systems.

What You Bring

-BC Trades Certification or Red Seal IP certification in relevant trade. -Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisor, co-workers and customers avoiding unnecessary conflict. -Ability to work as part of an integrated maintenance team on a flexible schedule enabling maintenance and repair activities to be conducted as required. -B.C. Driver’s Licence -Ability to meet enhanced government security clearance requirements to obtain ERS. -Building automation and systems; -Energy efficiency solutions and execution of decarbonization roadmaps; -Authorized to work in Canada. -Knowledge of occupational hazards, safe working practices and applicable regulations in Facility Management in accordance with Work Safe Regulations.
