Patient Account Representative-Special Self Pay

Description

Daily duties involve confirming applicable insurance coverage, contacting patients for additional information, and taking appropriate corrective actions while documenting the updates. The representative uses IDX and HealthQuest software to conduct physician and hospital billing reviews and works independently with minimal supervision, handling a variety of tasks as needed.

• Review patient accounts to identify and correct potential bad‑debt issues.
• Verify insurance coverage and contact patients for additional information.
• Implement corrective actions and record updates in the account.
• Conduct physician and hospital billing reviews using IDX and HealthQuest software daily.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0‑2 years of relevant experience, along with knowledge of accounting, insurance, and adjustments. Preferred qualifications include experience with IDX or similar billing systems, HealthQuest or comparable platforms, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $34,000 to $56,000, with compensation determined by factors such as skill set, experience, and training.
