Civil Design Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Design Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the design efforts of civil engineering works related to rail projects, ensuring alignment with technical standards, stakeholder requirements, and project timelines. You will serve as a key interface between design consultants, internal teams, and external stakeholders to drive high-quality, cost-effective design outcomes.

• Review contractor submittals and provide responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction.
• Ensure design integration with other disciplines (track, systems, structures, environment, etc.).
• Support design change management strategy, manage changes in scope, design revisions, and support to other groups within the construction joint venture group
• Review civil design drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate civil design activities across multidisciplinary teams for rail transit infrastructure projects (e.g., track alignments, stations, bridges, drainage, utilities, roadworks).
• Support the development of design schedules and track design progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate design inputs required to enable the timely development of the civil design packages
• Facilitate design review meetings and workshops, capturing and tracking actions and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.

• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital project delivery platforms.
• Experience working on major design-build or public sector rail projects.
• Experienced in developing civil work plans aligned with project scope and schedule, ensuring timely and successful project execution.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; P.E. or P.Eng license preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in civil design coordination, with at least 2 years in civil infrastructure preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining a strong problem-solving mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by strong documentation practices to facilitate project clarity and collaboration.
• Familiar in interpreting civil contract documents and effectively communicating requirements to project stakeholders.
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and relevant design software.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering design principles and rail infrastructure systems preferred.
