Project Manager - Vertical Transportation

Description

The Project Manager will assist in all phases of architectural design and new‑construction projects, including surveys, design development, schematics, construction documents, bidding, negotiation, and construction administration. Responsibilities also include scheduling, billing, reporting, developing analysis tools, and serving as the primary liaison among clients, consultants, and contractors.

• Participate in project development phases such as survey, design development, schematic design, construction documents, bidding, negotiation, and construction administration for vertical transportation systems.
• Support office operations by scheduling tasks, managing billing, and ensuring timely collection for active projects.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports—including submittal, progress, final, follow‑up, and deficiency reviews—to business support functions and leadership.
• Create analysis tools to track VT metrics and improve efficiency of work product delivery.
• Serve as liaison between clients, consultants, and contractors throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications (preferred) and adhere to ASME codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage regional travel requirements and wear required PPE for on‑site fieldwork, audits, surveys, and construction administration.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree considered a plus, and possess strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities. A basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, construction industry experience, OSHA training, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Bluebeam, and PowerPoint are required.

The role involves both office and on‑site work, requiring travel to regional sites, use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to navigate confined spaces and heights.
